This group produces a unique range of jewellery.
Salom has made a huge impact in the communities they work in by providing a consistent source of income to more than 1500 families. They have also contributed to various projects in the community which include schools, water harvesting.

How Candela a Fairtrade Brazil nuts producer in Peru is helped by UK investors
This Shared Interest film shows how Shared Interest investors have made a difference to the lives of Candela workers and people in the local community. Candela works with nearly 300 Brazil nut gatherers (castañeros) and their families who live along the Madre de Dios river. The nuts are transported by river and road to Candela's processing plant in Puerto Maldonado and then to Lima, from where nuts and oils are exported to Europe, North America and Australia.
