Award success for Shared Interest

We are delighted to announce that both Shared Interest Society and our charity Shared Interest Foundation have been recognised for a series of prestigious awards.

The Guardian Sustainable Business awards shine a light on the people and projects who are helping businesses do better and be better. Not just for their own bottom line, but for the environment and society too.

Shared Interest Society has been shortlisted in the Social Impact: Innovation category. This category is for initiatives that seek to solve a challenging social issue whilst simultaneously creating shared value for the business.

Our sister charity Shared Interest Foundation has been shortlisted for the Charity Awards for International Aid and Development.

The Charity Awards is Civil Society Media's annual awards programme held to identify, recognise and reward those organisations doing exceptional work in all areas of charitable activity.

Shared Interest Foundation was shortlisted in the International Aid and Development category for their work undertaken in Swaziland.

Shared Interest Society has also been recognised with a 'Big Tick' as part of the Responsible Business Awards 2014, which are run by the charity Business in the Community. The Big Tick is the first level of accolade in the scheme, which recognises businesses making a positive difference to society and to the environment.

Shared Interest Society achieved the Big Tick in the Unilever International Award category, supported by Business Fights Poverty, which aims to recognise businesses that can demonstrate positive impact against one or more of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals.

Shared Interest Society also reached the regional shortlist at the Private Business Awards in the Social Enterprise of the Year category.
