Shared Interest Foundation will shortly be starting our first
project in Latin America.
Small and medium producers in Latin America lack capital and
have limited access to cash flow. They may have poor or no credit
histories, often also lacking business plans, financial statements
and the ability to project cash flow realistically. All these
factors inhibit them from applying to ethical lenders who could
provide finance on fair terms.
Delivered in Peru and Columbia, our Access to Finance project
will see training and mentoring delivered to 25 co-operatives,
mostly producing either cocoa or bananas.
We hope to keep expanding our Access to Finance project to even
more countries. Support us to help make this a reality.
