To celebrate this, we have joined forces with Real Radio (100-102fm)
and Newcastle City Council to hold a Fairtrade T-shirt competition for
primary schools in North East England.

Basically we are asking teachers to get classmates together
and show what Fairtrade means to them by designing a T-shirt.

All you need to do is swing your class into action, scan in the
designs and upload them online.

The winning class will see their designs professionally made
on Fairtrade cotton T-shirts. Plus they will get their own
private film viewing at the cinema, celebrity style!

We visit schools across the country to help them get more
involved in Fairtrade and are happy to speak to children of all
ages; to entire schools in assemblies or to classes or year groups.

“With citizenship and sustainability becoming ever more important
parts of the syllabus, we welcome working alongside real life
organisations like Shared Interest so the pupils can experience
issues firsthand.”
