'I have been with Shared Interest since February 2006 and consider it a privilege to be able to carry out such a personally fulfilling role.

The work of Shared Interest has for many years had a positive impact on some of the world's poorest communities. It is therefore really exciting to be involved and to lead Shared Interest in its continued growth and in its work to increase its impact in the developing world even further.

Chair of the Board


We are now seeking to appoint a Chair of the Board who will play an important role in shaping our future. Complementing our existing team, you will bring strategic vision to help the organisation build on its successes. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to organisations with social aims and objectives. You will need energy and drive together with proven leadership, meeting facilitation and chairing skills. Previous experience as a Board member in an organisation of similar size and complexity would be beneficial. There is a strong preference for candidates with experience of one or more of the following areas: � Banking, corporate finance, risk management, venture capital industry, commodity trading. � Governance, legal or cooperative. Financial Director


Role and Responsibilities To lead the formation of Shared Interests Finance and Treasury policies and business model development To report to the Board and Members as appropriate on financial, treasury and other matters. As an Executive Director to play a key role in the strategic development of the Society. To provide accountancy and treasury expertise to the Management Team, the Society and the Foundation.
