Our Partners

Partnerships continue to play a key role across all areas of Shared Interest; they are vital to the sustainability and capacity of projects and activities across the organisation.

Our key partners

CLAC (Latin American and Caribbean Network of Small Fair Trade Producers) is the Latin American Network that gathers and represents all Fairtrade certified small producers' organizations and workers associations, as other fair trade small producers' organization in Latin America and the Caribbean. We are currently working with CLAC to deliver a new Access to Finance project in Peru and Columbia. Our first project in Latin America.

Fairtrade Africa is the independent non-profit umbrella organisation representing all Fairtrade certified producers in Africa. Working with Fairtrade Africa enabled us to deliver our first Access to Finance project across five countries in East and West Africa. The project culminated in over £2.5m of loan finance being approved to Fairtrade producers.

MFTN (Malawi Fairtrade Network) is the umbrella body for Fairtrade certified producers and processors in Malawi. Shared Interest Foundation have worked with MFTN to provide vital support to producers when disaster struck in early 2015 as well as to provide training and mentoring to their members.

RWAFAT (Rwanda Forum for Fair Trade) Shared Interest Foundation helped to establish RWAFAT in 2011 as a membership network. At the end of a three year project to deliver training to local producers, we wanted to ensure that there was a local support provision beyond the life of the project. We continue to work with RWAFAT today providing support to their members, and to RWAFAT themselves.

SWIFT (Swaziland Fair Trade) is a member based organization providing training, trade and advocacy to support businesses through promoting Fair Trade for the sustainable socio-economic empowerment of producers and communities in Swaziland. Shared Interest has worked with SWIFT since 2010.
