The Year Ahead 2018-19 - Progress
In January, we shared with you our goals for the year ahead. Here's an update on how we're working towards these, with your support.
The translation of our website. Our translators have completed all French & Latin American Spanish translations and we now have two volunteers working on proof reading.
We are looking to attend 120 events across the UK in 2019. So far, our community supporters and ambassadors have helped us attend 59 events and we have a further 15 scheduled. To achieve our goal, please continue to seek opportunities in your local community for talks, stalls, and distributing leaflets. You can see our upcoming events here.
Attending some large scale events such as Greenbelt. Great news! We are booked to attend Greenbelt this year. Get in touch if you can help run our stall for a few hours. We will also be attending Just V Show in London and are looking for volunteers to help run our stall. More information on both volunteering opportunities is available here.
Increasing Share Capital by £2.4m. As shown above Share Capital currently stands at £42m. 4% of this has come from volunteer activity (compared to 12% last year), see the map below. We hope we can support you in increasing this and through continued activities in your areas we are sure this will grow.
Growing our volunteer team. We are recruiting for Event Assistants (a one-off volunteer role), Event Researchers (a very flexible role) and continue ongoing recruitment of Ambassadors and Community Supporters.
